The Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) is a medical society comprised of hospitalists that exists to promote exceptional care for hospitalized patients.
We’re back and better than ever with new faculty and refreshed content! This course is designed to provide PAs and NPs with a broad foundation on commonly encountered diagnoses in hospitalized adult patients.
Formerly know as Adult Hospital Medicine Boot Camp, Hospital Medicine Essentials is sponsored by AAPA and the Society of Hospital Medicine. This course is ideal if you are a PA or NP new to hospital medicine or if you practice in another specialty but are responsible for the medical management of hospitalized adult patients.
Attendees will dive into the most current, evidence-based topics in hospital medicine while earning AAPA Category 1 CME credits and networking with other practitioners.

This course is a great review of common hospital medicine diagnoses and management strategies. An excellent review of general medicine for those who work in surgical practices and may not get a lot of exposure to, or have other providers that manage, typical hospital problems.
