About SHM
Representing the fastest growing specialty in modern healthcare, the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) is the leading medical society for hospitalists and their patients.
The Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM)’s Physician in Training Committee recently announced the 2016 Student Hospitalist Scholar Grant recipients, who earned the scholarship based on their abilities and interest in hospital medicine, prior educational training and dedication to scholarly activity in the field.
“As a continuously growing and evolving field, hospital medicine depends on cultivating the leaders and innovators of tomorrow,” said Darlene Tad-y, MD, hospitalist and Associate Director for Education at the University of Colorado Denver and Chair of SHM’s Physicians in Training Committee. “These students and the research they will perform embody the passion, intelligence and dedication required to ensure that hospitalists will continue to improve our healthcare system and provide exceptional patient care.”
