About Advisory Councils
Introducing a new volunteer opportunity for SHM members.
SHM’s mission is to serve as the professional home for hospitalists, offering members avenues to nurture their interests, share their expertise, and an engaged community to tackle challenges they face in their daily practice.
To further this mission, SHM is introducing a new opportunity for members to increase their involvement with SHM leadership and fellow members. SHM Advisory Councils are volunteer groups assembled around key constituencies within our membership. These Advisory Councils will meet with SHM’s leaders to share their perspectives on key initiatives, critical topics, and issues affecting hospitalists and the delivery of care.
